Dominican Republic: CECAINI Care Program
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC HOME

LOCATION

CECAINI is located in Constanza, a town of approximately 80,000 people, located in the mountain range that runs between the Dominican Republic and Haiti. This beautiful, fertile valley is at an elevation of about 4,500 feet. It has the best growing conditions for vegetables in the country.

HISTORY
Initially we are targeting 80 children and 20 adolescents in this impoverished agrarian community of 80,000. With approximately 30,000 residents under age 20, the need and potential to help families break a cycle of poverty is tremendous. Within three years we would hope to serve approximately 250 families, in some form, helping to raise an army of well-equipped children to revitalize this beautiful community.

FACILITIES

We have recently purchased land in order to construct a building that will house our care center which currently resides in a rented building.

PROGRAM

The CECAINI program provides for critical shortcomings in the lives of many children. By providing food, clothing and some medical care, Kids Alive cares for the immediate and necessary physical needs of the children.

The education program augments the public school by providing basic learning instruction that will help kids break out of the cycle of poverty that their families have been in for generations.

The spiritual emphasis helps build character and gives the children hope for the future, found only in Jesus Christ.

FUTURE
Within three years we would hope to serve approximately 250 families, in some form, helping to raise an army of well-equipped children to revitalize this beautiful community.
