Elizabeth Drain-Harden
Missionary |
During a one-week missions trip to the Dominican
Republic in 2002, Elizabeth felt God calling her to work in education to
impoverished Dominicans. When her husband, Glenn, picked her up at the airport,
she asked, “So, how’d you like to move to the Dominican Republic?” He
was open to the possibility, but desired a job in which he could teach
in English. This brought Glenn and Elizabeth to the Dominican city of
Jarabacoa in 2003, at which time they both worked for English-speaking
ministries.
Elizabeth
began working for Kids Alive International Dominican Republic in 2004,
as this fit better with her desire to help poor Dominicans.
