BACKGROUND
Kenya joined the Kids Alive International family in 2000. At that time, the Mt Kenya Boys’ Home was the primary work in this site. Since then, the Karundas Children’s Center has been added the House of Joy and the Rebecca House for HIV-infected and affected children, and the House of Deborah for vulnerable girls. The Karundas Center also has a medical clinic and a school program, which provide medical care and education for our residential children, as well as children from our immediate communities.

Kids Alive has since expanded into other areas of Kenya, working in partnership with several church-based residential and community care programs for orphans and vulnerable children.

Kenya is supervised by the Kenya Leadership Team, led by National Director, Linda Mugo.
