Mike and Diane Fietje
Field Directors

Mike and Diane Fietje, of Forward Baptist Church in Ontario, Canada, joined the Kids Alive staff in 1998, and are presently Field Directors and Home Directors.

An “MK” (missionary kid), Mike spent most of his growing up years in Southeast Asia. He received his B.A. degree in International Ministries from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Diane studied physical and health education at the University of Toronto and attended Heritage Baptist Seminary.

Serving as Director of the Lima Children’s Home, Mike says, “I know what it is like as a child to lose your father and the importance of having solid Christian loved ones helping you through these tough times, pointing you back to God. We are in this ministry because we believe we can make a difference to a child's future in both heaven and earth.”

Diane cares for their three children, Naomi, Zachary, and Daniela. “God loves children and I want them to know this and know Him intimately as their Savior. I want to help kids and give them hope in this life as well as hope in Jesus Christ.”
