Missionary Opportunities at Kids Alive International

Kids Alive is a faith mission in which our missionaries raise their own prayer and financial support. We recommend raising support through contacts with individuals, churches, or groups who will become prayer partners with the missionary. All funds must be in place (through gifts and pledges) prior to departure to the ministry location.

Short-term Missionary

What Are Short-Term Missionaries?

The Short-Term Missionary Program allows individuals who are age 19 or older or have had one year of college the opportunity to work as one of our Kids Alive missionaries in a community of service to children at risk. It is our hope that as a Kids Alive Short-term Missionary you will discover your place of greatest impact in God’s Kingdom.

A strong candidate will exhibit a commitment to Jesus Christ, a natural love for children, team attitude, experience working with children and a knowledge of the language of the field or a willingness to learn the language of the field of service. (Language training is required of all Short-term Missionaries).

What is my Time Commitment?

• Summer Missionary Intern: 6 - 10 weeks between May and August
• Missionary Intern: 1 month to 6 months
• Short-Term Missionary: 7 months to 3 years
  

Long-term Missionary
What Are Long-Term Missionaries?

Long-Term Missionaries with Kids Alive International are individuals who have felt the call of God to work full time at one of our overseas ministry locations.

Our Long-Term Missionaries are people with leadership and training skills who have a passion for equipping our national staff members. These missionaries have college degrees and years of experience in their profession prior to serving with Kids Alive. We prefer that our long-term missionaries have short- term experience with Kids Alive or another missions organization prior to applying for long-term service.

What is my Time Commitment?

Long-Term Missionaries are required to commit to a minimum of 3 years.
